Man Outnumbered 2.0: Drifting Away

The title may seem a little too soap opera-ish but seeing The Mistress may get a little more challenging. She will no longer be a stone step away, me looking at her outside my window will just look weird now, and even if I did drive over to her, I can’t leave who I’m with right now for more than a few missed calls.

This week was a quiet one with the annoying and obnoxious ones. Even though it was just that, I still wanted to get out ASAP even if it meant getting one more missed call. There was even a time where I spent 2 straight hours taking selfies and videos (velfies?) and even though I had a blast, I still couldn’t get the taste of nasty, cold tea out of my mouth.

“Was she thinking about me? Did she randomly check my Instagram account?” This was the only time where I actually wouldn’t mind being stalked. I know you’re probably saying “he’s gone nuts” and I probably am but when I can do? She’s The Mistress.

Let’s talk about the divas here. I’m so happy I got to see them at Qout Market and I’m really proud of X-Grande Latte having her little booth serving the most incredible onion chutney sandwich and I also want to thank Captain for having good taste in recommending it in the first place. Seeing the same faces, I wished for the entrance of The Mistress. Imagine that, being with The Mistress without worrying about them. Turns out she showed up and what a look she had. Even though she walked in acting like she owns the place, it did look good to me. I don’t know. Maybe I was drowning in passion for her and threw away any life jacket given to me.

So I spent a good hour or two with the divas and a good 7 hours with her. I mean don’t get me wrong, it was great seeing the divas and all but who could resist seeing their mistress? Come on, I can’t be the only one who has one, am I? Right now I’m writing to you. I could be visiting The Mistress, have a good chat, explain to her once again why I left her and as usual, the conversation ends with me leaving feeling like I chose the wrong road to go.

So what next? Visiting her hoping I don’t get caught? How about if one day they know who I’m seeing? Can I survive a a day without seeing her? How many questions was that?

The distance between her and I has increased and I think about her more than I think about the growls in my stomach. Why did I leave? Was it fate, destiny, and all that rubbish? Tune in next week for more on The Mistress.

Adnan Al-Timimi a.k.a Man Outnumbered is in a dilemma. Having a mistress can be risky but visiting her is an absolute delight. Follow his column to know more about his adventures with The Mistress.
