Emirati national and ESMOD Paris graduate Khulood Thani, founded her luxury women’s wear label in 2011. Having also studied at the prestigious institutions of London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martins, she also received a Masters degree in Strategic Marketing from the University of Wollongong and a B.A. in Marketing Communication from Zayed University in Dubai. This collection beautifully weaves in the inspiration with minimalistic asymmetric cuts and bold colors. I can see these pieces not only catching the attention of forward thinking women this autumn/winter, but also remaining wardrobe staples in future seasons.

What is the latest collection called?
How would you describe the collection?
It’s a combination of everyday luxury and minimalist elegance to women both in the UAE and internationally.
What was the inspiration behind this collection?
The collection is up to 16 looks, it draws its inspiration from the UAE shores, and all surreal fishing journeys and the little things expected within these journeys. The collection cleverly blends objects of a fishing journey, such as the famous gargoor (traditional fish trap), the curvy shapes of the fish skins, and the environmental colors of this journey. The ready-to-wear collection ranges from day to evening looks.
Which key materials and embellishments are used in your AW collection?
Designs have been constructed in an environmental palette of pale and navy blues, brings in orange, and two levels of deep aqua green while incorporating structured elements such as the double collar, embroidered net-like patches, and architectural pieces inspired from the fishes.
