The Pop Issue – #13
We aim to start 2015 with a BANG and POP! With an acute awareness that each detail must have relevance on a macro and micro level, we feel proud of how it has come together with a conscious stream of thought throughout. We’ve introduced several new columnists who are each bringing their own expertise into our pages with regional relevance and sometimes a touch of humor, in addition to revamping some of our existing features. One element that makes this issue particularly exceptional is the one-off artworks, which are all original pieces provided by a selection of Gulf artists. We start with a collective interview with Telfaz11 an iconic online production house, delve into the mysterious dynamics of dewaniyas, and dissect an international fashion designer’s influence over feminism in the Gulf, we’ve taken the theme and weaved it into the essence of the issue.
